5/5

We had an amazing time during our three-day, two-night celebration of our 11th anniversary at Camp Spotted Wood, nestled within the beautiful Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort in Tiaong, Quezon.

Camping rates are incredibly budget-friendly. Toddlers below 2 years old get in for free. For the little ones aged 3 to 6 years old, it's just 300. And adults are only PHP 500 per head. Parking is quite affordable too, at PHP 200 for cars and PHP 100 for motorcycles.

The amenities provided here are spot on – from picnic log tables to firepits and bonfire areas, they've got you covered for a memorable camping experience. Clean toilets and a separate common shower area are a real bonus, and they even have a wash area for your convenience. There's also a dedicated charging area. Plus, you can easily order Villa Escudero meals, beverages, or supplies like charcoal and ice. (we ordered mango shake lang, kasi nagluto kami the whole stay)

But what truly made our stay memorable was the privilege of entering the coconut pavilion and getting a tour by Ma'am Carmela Escudero Balcazar, one of the Members of the Board of Directors. Her warm and welcoming nature added a personal touch to our camping adventure.

A repeated noise woke us on our first night at 3 in the morning. We asked Ma'am Carmela, and it turns out it was a Musang (Philippine Palm Civet). It was definitely a funny experience since we didn't sleep again after that LOL.

Campsite Rating
This is solely based on our 3-day, 2-night experience:
Staff/Customer Service: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Noise Level: 4/5. Forest sound 24/7 (You’ll hear some noises from a nearby barangay but this is beyond the campsite’s control)
Cleanliness: 5/5
Cost: 5/5

In summary, our experience at Camp Spotted Wood was a perfect escape into nature, filled with relaxation and the kind hospitality of the staff. If you're looking for a casual and rejuvenating camping adventure, this place is an excellent choice. We can't recommend it enough for an unforgettable nature retreat!
